Local partner, Del-Sigma’s founders are from the KE community

  • Community Development Fund to be setup- up to 5% of net profits to be managed by an independent board. Fund to support development of infrastructure, education and community healthcare.
  • Two projects were embarked upon for the KE Host Community:

    Electricity
  • 50KVA generator refurbished to provide electricity for community.
  • Ongoing operating costs included in Field Operating Expenses
  • Water
  • Projects to be completed
  • Signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the host communities
  • To establish Operational Area Development Board (OADB) which will be responsible for harmonizing the interests of MMU, Del-Sigma and the host communities
  • The host and impacted communities are fully involved in the field development activities
  • By way of employment,
  • Participation in contracts and local material supplies.
  • In the past, 30 community youths were employed in various aspects of the site construction works, both as skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers. This practice will continue
  • Training
  • In 2008 and 2009 five (5) community youths were formally trained in oil and gas-based skills
